Protecting the family

One of the biggest things that you can do to damage any relationship that you have, is to lie. Lying on all grounds is wrong. It will always put a strain on the relationship that you have, and it will be very difficult to gain that trust back in the relationship. Fidelity within a relationship is very important in allowing the relationship to grow, and remain strong. Infidelity with your spouse will cause permanent damage within the relationship that you have.  Within any relationship, you should always try to gain more and more trust from your partner. The more that you constantly prove that you are able to be trusted, it will be easier to grow together in your relationship. Relationships can be very fragile. It is important to not do anything to damage it. Trust is always something that is difficult to gain but easy to lose. Boundaries in a relationship

One of the most important keys in a relationship, is to constantly be able to adapt and change to the different circumstances that are handed to us. As relationships progress, it is important that you recognize that if you do nothing, the boundaries of a relationship will change, and possibly create divisions within the relationship. It is important to constantly evaluate the relationship that you have, and the boundaries you have placed around the relationship. For many people their is nothing that is more important to them than their family. The first and most important step in starting a family obviously is finding someone who you would want to start a family with. In trying to find the one who you want to start your family with, there are many things to consider. As you begin to go on dates with others, you need to look for the traits that you would want in a partner, while also making sure that you avoid any big red flags that you may come into contact with. As you go on dates with people, it is important to do a wide variety of activities together, in dif...

Gender and Family life

This week we discussed the roles that gender will play in the family. There are very important roles that gender will play in any relationship, especially the family. As we look at gender within a family, as children are being raised, you can see many clear differences that impact the dynamic of a family. Looking back throughout the history of many cultures, men were expected to be the tougher, and stronger of the two. Males were expected to provide for the family, and preside over their families as leaders. He was generally the one who would make important decisions. On the other hand, females  were traditionally expected to be more uneducated. They were expected to keep up the home, and cook. They traditionally were expected to stay home and raise families. As we look at tradition was, I have wondered why it stayed that way for so long, what has allowed for the modern transition to which women are now more likely to go and pursue careers, and how these new norms will mesh w...
